DRAWINGS
The drawings work in parallel to Harry's larger photographic works. The 10x8 inch camera has a strong capacity to render the totality of visual information of a place; it shows every single detail with no abstraction. His drawings of the salt marsh where he lives on the other hand explore the opportunities of minimal information, where gesture, tone, colour and often singe line are used to represent the fundamental elements of this intriguing landscape.
Here the simplest lines explore the forces of nature that form creeks, dunes, rills, dips and swirls where sand, water and air react to the pressures of time, tide, gravity and wind.
